Club Mission

Hello, we are Linguistics Club at UC Davis! Linguistics Club at UCD is an academic campus club that is committed to teaching and sharing the study of linguistics with veteran language enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Through presentations, academic panels, game nights, social events, and more, we connect students of all backgrounds through our shared interest in language. Our mascott, the Wug, is a made-up birdlike cartoon that spearheaded Jean Berko Gleason’s work in psycholinguistics and childhood language acquisition. If you want to learn more about it, join us!
